Where known, author codes are assigned to an article. The author code can also be a reference to a particular person or an institution and not necessarily the actual author who may not be known. From its beginnings in 1948, the KATERI magazine had only three editors who were also the Canadian Vice-Postulators for the Cause of Canonization of Kateri Tekakwitha. Most of the articles are from the late Fr Henri Béchard, S.J. , followed by the late Fr Jacques Bruyère, S.J. and finally by the current Deacon, Ron Boyer (Native Ojibway). They all served at the Saint Francis Xavier Mission in Kahnawake. They did not necessarily write each and every article, but they have selected articles based on their experience and on the mandate of the magazine. Up to 16 persons/references/institutions can be assigned to an article. Each article may be grouped in more than one way. An author code that contains an "." means that its actual author is not known but it is most likely chosen by the Editor.
